There is a poll re whether Registration Fee should be increased to eliminate the mandatory fund raisers. First of all Fund Raisers cannot be mandatory. Softball Cricketers register to play softball cricket not to raise funds. That is the job of the Association. The Association can ask for the assistance of the Teams and Clubs but this is not mandatory.
For 2012 there has been over three fund raisers and we have not received financial reports on any of these fund raisers. Clubs and Teams that have supported all the fund raiseres have no idea if there efforts were in vain or not.
If fund raisers (3 or 4 or how ever many) became mandatory for the Association, when will Clubs and teams be able to raise funds for themselves.
What benefits will we get from raising the Registration Fee? Free Balls? It's not worth it. What else do you have to offer?
I hope you have a plan and an outline of incentives to throw at us for you to get any approval on this.

Thank you for your response Concerned Softball Cricketer and your points raised are valid and treasured. While the Executive may have some ideas on how this plan may work, we would be more than happy to get suggestions from the general membership on ways in which the Association can build a solid financial base to assist and offer more incentives to its general membership.
As you may be aware through our fund-raising efforts we were able to make a contribution in excess of EC$1000.00 to one of our members medical fund, to which we complimented all clubs/teams/members who supported this venture. We are of the view that once we can put our thoughts together and work in unity, we will be able to raise the standard of softball cricket in Antigua & Barbuda and make it a much more enjoyable recreation for all our members. We look forward to continued suggestions and ideas.
